The preschool at NHA is a general education preschool. The preschool accepts children who are 6 weeks

Philosophy
Our mission is to provide a personalized educational program, which enables each child to achieve full social, emotional and academic success in a safe and nurturing environment. Our goal is to prepare each child with the skills necessary to begin their educational journey. It is the objective of the school, including our teachers, psychologist and counselor, working in conjunction with parents, to create a personalized educational plan that makes learning possible and challenging. |

| Preschool Curriculum |

All of our classes include age appropriate preschool curriculum. We are a City of Las Vegas licensed facility with only the highest standards for academic goals. We offer a full day preschool program as well as extended care before and after. Children learn through role-modeling, dramatic play and a wide variety of other experiences that introduce the skills necessary for reading, writing, following 'directions, decision making and socialization. Art activities, organized games, child and teacher selected centers, free play and multiple other activities are part of the daily lesson plans to assure a well-rounded experience for your child.
Your child's daily lessons correspond to our yearly themed curriculum with stages and goals for your child to reach for and accomplish. These lessons ensure that your child develops necessary skills. We encourage you to keep an open line of communication with your child's teacher to discuss any concerns, questions, goals, and expectations. |

| Kindergarten Curriculum |

We offer a full day, individualized, general education program. Our full day program allows each child ample time to experience each area of development within our broad-based personalized curriculum.
The New Horizons kindergarten, licensed by the Nevada State Department of Education, conforms to the Nevada State Education requirements. While following the guidelines for education learning mandatory in Nevada, New Horizons offers a personalized program based on individual student strengths and weaknesses and incorporates multi-sensory techniques and learning strategies.
Personalized Education Approach
The New Horizons kindergarten uses an interdisciplinary approach to design an individualized instructional program for each student. A variety of assessment procedures are used to determine each student's learning strengths, weaknesses, learning style, areas of interest and emotional needs. This approach insures
that the "whole" child is served at school. New Horizons Kindergarten provides instruction in all of the required subjects of the Nevada State Department of Education.
